@adewale: Thanks for the gesture but I already got in on Thursday thanks to @cityrat59. When it rains it pours I guess. :)

@adewale: So I suppose u just punched in the email addresses of your 10 nominees into a GWave form and now we're pretty much waiting in the dark for the cogwheels to turn? :)
-
I'm sorry but I'm confused. Can someone clarify me how these peer nominations work blow by blow? I suppose they aren't traditional invites that the nominee-to-be clicks? @adewale, any insight into this?
-
@map: Oh, i think u're gonna get reasons eventually. :D Remember, when Facebook seemed superfluous? Now civil servants are urged to join FB. Now matter what the platform, the future is in complexly weaved communication with elements ranging from realtime to traditional formal letters depending on situation.

Well I guess I hav to wait for a "nomination" passed via the brokerage http://www.googlewaveinvites.com/invite/ to go thru. :/
""" Invite Status:
- 8269 invite requests in the system.
- 946 give requests sent.
- 2 invites confirmed as received """

And with regards to my slight anger (jealousy really), i felt i was missing out on all the fun, like ur tripku. I mean i could go poking u on facebook or in IRL requesting my own moment of storytelling but a public write-up is so much better when it comes to getting the whole story out without being interrupted.

Ok, i guess i wasn't die hard enuff, or just lamenting what had happened to our precious Jaiku. Also i found no point in using it when the mobile site was unavailabl.. i mean facebook had/has one so why not Jaiku, right? I mean Google should'v made sure both desktop and mobile use was possibl before passing the buck to the community.

Other than to agree with the title I'll defer my comment on the existential crisis of Jaiku and mention that as far as lightweight cameras go, I also decided against the LX3 recently due to its lack of reach and the reputed limitations in the dynamic range of its out-of-camera jpegs. So I bought the Fujifilm Finepix F200EXR that had gotten such great reviews. And I hav to agree that it's a great littl cam for taking pictures during dusk and dawn when the sky can be unreasonably bright above a skyline or foliage.
When it comes to ISO sensitivity, the F200 is not that much different/better than my other pocket cam, the PowerShot A650IS, which is the "plastic" littl brother of Canon's G9, both of which hav a 1/1.6" sensor. I mean u can't go above ISO 400 without suffering from posterization artifacts.
